House Challenge

Explanations

At the beginning of the school year, students are assigned to "houses" named after : Ushingi, Garima, Sapientia or Agape. Each house has its own identity, and its members aspire to honor the "characteristics" of their house. These houses are like "families" made up of students from all classes. The house system is a dynamic tool for creating a positive school climate. It encourages friendly, healthy competition between students, team spirit and commitment. The system builds character, fosters camaraderie between grade levels and celebrates achievement. Students can earn points by contributing to the life of the school, whether in academics, sports, the arts, community service, behavior or attitude. These may include organization, effort, good manners, sportsmanship, creativity, initiative, kindness and more. The school year is punctuated by House Challenges and House Celebrations.
