These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (“GTC”) govern purchases made through the Open World International School uniform online store, accessible at www.ecoleopenworld.com. Placing an order implies prior acceptance of these GTC, as indicated by checking a box at the time of ordering.

1. Seller Information
The store is operated by OW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, a limited liability company (SARL) with a capital of €1,000, whose registered office is located at 662 rue Alexandre Soiron, 60610 Lacroix-Saint-Ouen, and which is registered with the Compiègne Trade and Companies Register under number 942 008 889 (SIRET 942 008 889 00019), represented by its manager, Ms. Valérie Harlé d'Ophove.
For any questions about an order: the school office, viescolaire@ecoleopenworld.com, phone 03 60 45 82 85 (school switchboard).
Sales at the store are exempt from VAT (Article 261, Section 4, Subsection 4(a) of the General Tax Code). The prices listed are net prices, expressed in euros.
2. Scope
The store is reserved for the families of students enrolled at the school. It allows you to purchase uniform clothing, patches, and personalized gym bags, which can be picked up at the school office. Shipping is not available.
You must create a store account to place an order. The account is created by the parent; it allows you to view your orders, invoices, and track pickups.
3. Products
The items offered are those listed in the online catalog as of the date of the order, subject to the school's available inventory. The photographs are for illustrative purposes only; the colors and logos are those of the actual items delivered.
Sizes cannot be selected online: they are tried on and chosen at the time of pickup, together with the child.
Personalized items. The gym bags are printed with the first name provided by the parent at the time of order. This first name is printed exactly as it was entered; parents are asked to check the spelling before confirming the order. A personalized item is made for a specific child: it is not eligible for return (Article L. 221-28, 3° of the Consumer Code), as noted on the product page and in the shopping cart. Other items in the same order remain eligible for return.
4. Price
Prices are listed in euros, including all applicable taxes, but excluding shipping costs, since there are none. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time the order is confirmed. The school may change its prices at any time for future orders.
5. Order
The parent adds items to their cart, enters each child’s first name, last name, and class, accepts these Terms and Conditions, and then confirms the order by clicking the “Place Order with Payment” button. This information is used solely to prepare and deliver the items to the correct student.
The order is confirmed by a summary email sent after payment; it lists the items, the price, the pickup instructions, and information on the right to cancel. The order remains visible in your store account.
The school reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of obviously incorrect information, a prior unresolved dispute, or unavailability; in such cases, the parent will be notified, and any amount paid will be refunded.
6. Payment
Payment is made online at the time of ordering by credit card through the secure payment provider Stripe. Payment information is processed by this provider; the school does not retain it.
The order is not finalized until the service provider confirms payment. If payment fails, the order is not finalized and no amount is due.
7. Pickup and drop-off at the school office
Items may be picked up at the school’s student affairs office on Mondays and Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. An alternative time may be arranged with the student affairs office on a case-by-case basis. Items must be picked up by a parent or a person designated by the parent.
Parents are notified by email when their order—or part of their order—is ready for pickup at the school office. Personalized items require preparation time, which is indicated on the item's product page.
Pickup can be done in multiple stages, for example, when a size or a customized item is not yet available. Each delivery is recorded and visible in the store account. The risk of loss or damage passes to the parent at the time of delivery; the order is closed once all items have been delivered.
Items that have not been picked up remain available to the family until the end of the current school year. After this period has elapsed and following two unanswered email reminders, the school will cancel the order and refund the cost of the unclaimed items.
8. Size or item unavailable
If the desired size is not available at the time of pickup, the school office will offer a later pickup once the item is restocked, or a refund for the item. If an ordered item can no longer be supplied, it will be refunded. Refunds are issued to the payment method used for the order within fourteen days; the school does not issue store credit.
9. Right of Withdrawal and the “Cancel Contract Here” Feature
In accordance with Articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the parent has fourteen days to cancel the order without having to provide a reason. This period begins on the day after the items are picked up; if the order is picked up in multiple installments, it begins on the day the last item is picked up.
How to Cancel an Order. The store offers a free cancellation feature, identified by the words “Cancel the contract here.” It is accessible—after logging into your store account—at the bottom of this page, from each order in your store account, and from the confirmation email, throughout the entire cancellation period. The parent selects the relevant order, specifies the items in question and their first and last name, then clicks “Confirm Cancellation.” The declaration is recorded on the order, and an acknowledgment of receipt summarizing its content—including the date and time of submission—is sent to the email address associated with the store account. The parent may also use the standard form provided at the end of this document or any other unambiguous statement sent to viescolaire@ecoleopenworld.com.
Returning Items. Items must be returned to the school office on the designated pickup days and times, within fourteen days of the report, unworn, unwashed, and with their tags attached. There is no return fee, as returns are made on-site.
Refund. The school will refund the full amount paid for the items in question within fourteen days of receiving the return request; it may delay the refund until the items have been returned. The refund will be issued to the payment method used for the order, free of charge.
Exclusion. In accordance with Article L. 221-28, paragraph 3, the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized items, in particular gym bags printed with the child's first name.
10. Statutory Warranties
Regardless of any commercial warranty, the seller remains bound by the statutory warranty of conformity (Articles L. 217-1 through L. 217-32 of the Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 through 1649 of the Civil Code). These warranties may be enforced by contacting the school, using the contact information provided in Article 1. The school does not offer any commercial warranty or separate after-sales service.
Box provided for in Article D. 211-2 of the Consumer Code
The consumer has two years from the date of delivery of the goods to enforce the statutory warranty of conformity if a lack of conformity arises. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it arose.
When the contract for the sale of goods provides for the continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for a period exceeding two years, the statutory warranty applies to such digital content or digital service throughout the entire period of supply. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or digital service, and not the date on which it first appeared.
The statutory warranty of conformity requires the seller, where applicable, to provide all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the goods.
The statutory warranty of conformity entitles the consumer to have the item repaired or replaced within thirty days of making the request, at no cost and without significant inconvenience to the consumer.
If the product is repaired under the statutory warranty of conformity, the consumer is entitled to a six-month extension of the original warranty.
If the consumer requests that the item be repaired, but the seller insists on replacing it, the statutory warranty of conformity is renewed for a period of two years from the date the item is replaced.
The consumer may obtain a reduction in the purchase price while retaining the goods or terminate the contract by receiving a full refund upon return of the goods, if: 1° The seller refuses to repair or replace the goods; 2° The repair or replacement of the goods occurs after a period of thirty days; 3° The repair or replacement of the goods causes significant inconvenience to the consumer, particularly when the consumer is permanently responsible for the costs of returning or picking up the nonconforming goods, or if the consumer bears the costs of installing the repaired or replacement goods; 4° The nonconformity of the goods persists despite the seller’s unsuccessful attempt to bring them into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to rescind the contract when the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or rescission of the contract. In such cases, the consumer is not required to first request repair or replacement of the goods.
The consumer is not entitled to rescind the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the item is out of service for repair or replacement suspends the remaining warranty period until the repaired or replaced item is delivered.
The rights mentioned above arise from the application of Articles L. 217-1 through L. 217-32 of the Consumer Code.
A seller who, in bad faith, obstructs the enforcement of the statutory warranty of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to up to 10 percent of the seller’s average annual revenue (Article L. 241-5 of the Consumer Code).
The consumer is also covered by the statutory warranty against hidden defects, pursuant to Articles 1641 through 1649 of the Civil Code, for a period of two years from the date the defect is discovered. This warranty entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the item is retained, or to a full refund upon return of the item.
11. Invoices
An invoice can be requested at the time of order, made out to the parent or a company. It is issued after payment is confirmed and made available in the store account; the parent is notified by email. Invoices are numbered by school year. Once issued, an invoice cannot be modified; any corrections result in a new document. In the event of a full or partial refund for an invoiced order, a credit memo is issued and made available in the same manner.
12. Personal Information
The data collected for the online store (parent’s identity and contact information, children’s first and last names and class, first name printed on a bag, history of orders, pickups, and cancellations) is processed by SARL OW International School, the data controller, to prepare, invoice, and deliver orders and to respond to related requests. This processing is necessary for the performance of the contract. The data is accessible to the school administration, the payment service provider (for data necessary for payment), and the email service provider; it is not used for marketing purposes.
Order and billing data are retained for the duration of the customer relationship and then archived for the period required by accounting regulations. Information specific to children (name, grade) is retained for the duration of the child’s enrollment at the school, so that the family can access their orders from one year to the next, and is then deleted at the end of the school year following the child’s departure.
Each parent has the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to the processing of their data, which they may exercise by contacting the school administration using the contact information provided in Article 1, as well as the right to file a complaint with the CNIL. The privacy policy of the website www.ecoleopenworld.com supplements this policy.
13. Complaints and Mediation
Any complaint should first be submitted in writing to the Student Affairs Office at the address provided in Article 1, which will endeavor to respond as soon as possible.
In accordance with Articles L. 611-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code, a parent has the right to seek the assistance of a consumer mediator, free of charge, to reach an amicable resolution of a dispute with the school, provided that the parent has first submitted a written complaint to the school and does so within one year of submitting that complaint.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction in accordance with general law.
15. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
The school may modify these Terms and Conditions; the version applicable to an order is the one accepted at the time the order is placed. The date of the last update appears at the top of the document.
