School outings and school trips form an important part of our educational mission and play an important role at Open World. From Year 3 to Year 6, a school trip of 4-5 days is organised and supervised by school staff for students. From Year 7, a longer school trip of 5-10 days is organised. These trips may take place in France or abroad.

School trips and outings 2022 - 2023

Last year was marked by a series of school outings and trips. Among the local outings to Compiègne, students explored the Château de Compiègne and its park, and also visited several of the city's museums. But our excursions weren't limited to the city's borders; in fact, outings to Paris were also organized, where students had the chance to see plays and visit museums. And to top it all off, two international trips were on the program: an adventure to Andalusia that allowed students to immerse themselves in Spanish culture, and a trip to England for a completely different cultural experience. Each trip brought its own unique set of experiences, helping to make last year a truly global learning period for all our students.

School trips and outings 2023 - 2024

School outings

  • Château Safari - Grande Section and CP (September 22, 2023)

The setting of the Emperor's and Empress' Apartments was the stage for an exciting feline hunt. Equipped with carefully crafted lion masks, our young explorers tracked down the felines hiding in the castle's majestic nooks and crannies. An educational adventure where creativity and discovery came together for an unforgettable day.

  • Sur les Chapeaux de Roues - CE2 (September 18, 2023)

Our CE2 pupils immersed themselves in the history of the automobile with a captivating outing. From the evolution of the horse-drawn carriage to the automobile, to the making of miniatures of the first electric car, the pupils were immersed in an interactive experience.

  • The Second Empire - CE1 (September 21, 2023)

CE1 pupils explored the Second Empire museum at the Château de Compiègne, discovering not only the events of the period, but also emblematic figures such as Napoleon and Empress Eugénie. An educational visit that broadened their horizons and awakened their curiosity about the past.
